American Adventure

Roman and I are back here now. Its a different kind of misadventure. I got a car, a job, and a fiancé since moving back. My job is interesting. I am working in a group home for disabled adults, during the night. I have learned a lot- something new each shift. Its stressful at times, its rewarding at times, but mostly its something in the middle. I think working night shifts is something everyone should experience at some point in their lives.

I’m getting really excited about our wedding. I have the dress, shoes, and flowers now! Mom is working on getting some kind of cake or desert lined up, and I still need to find a musician. It will be really fun. We found a translator for Romans family- its going to be a hectic awesome week when they visit.

This past Friday was Romans green card interview. We passed, and his green card was approved- he will receive it in the mail in about two weeks. He also got a work permit so he can find a job and get a drivers license.

People keep asking about our long term plan. We don’t really have one. I guess our plan is to work in the national parks for a while and see America, or attempt to see all of America. Then perhaps we will teach English as a foreign language somewhere amazing like Iceland. Whatever the future holds.... we will see when we get there.

  1. For music I would ask Claire Belisle if she would consider it. I believe she is a Mahtomedi high school student. Violinist - excellent, talented, versitile.
